Sea View Holiday Cottage
Eyemouth
Scottish Borders
This wonderfully spacious holiday cottage in a historic fishing town near the Scottish Borders offers wonderful sea views and ample space for that memorable family holiday or a relaxing short break getaway.
Eyemouth is a compact seaside village, complete with a lovely sandy bay just a stroll away and a pretty fishing harbour where seals often pop up to say hello. Eyemouth is also an ideal for divers wishing to dive at St Abbs. Just a few miles from the bustling town of Berwick, surrounded by the original town walls and providing an abundance of things to see and do. Exploring the surrounding countryside couldn’t be easier with fantastic road links connecting popular border towns, as well as North Berwick and Edinburgh and don’t miss out on Northumberland coastline and head up over The Cheviots.
Walk through the yard and up to the entrance porch where you can kick off the muddy boots before stepping in to the hallway, tastefully themed and decorated and flowing nicely into all of the rooms on the first floor of the duplex apartment. Approaching the kitchen first, with a big window overlooking the shared patio, letting in lots of light. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare for family mealtimes and has a gas oven and hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and small freezer. Stepping back into the hallway and next into a marvellous dining area with large solid wood table and sofas making it a great social space, and not to mention the dining room enjoys a spectacular view out over the bay, out to sea; great to watch the boats coming in and out. Across the hallway you can sink into the sofas, put your feet up after a busy day exploring and curl up in front of the roaring open fire. Also from the hallway there is a family bathroom, complete with freestanding bath and separate shower and w/c. The stairs at the end of the hallway lead you up to the top floor, books line the window sills and ledges on the way- pick one and head up to bed. The landing is a great, bright space, with windows at both sides and a desk underneath one. The master bedroom has sea views and an en-suite shower room with w/c, which also has Jack an Jill access from the landing. One of the twin rooms enjoys a sea view, whilst the smaller twin room is perfectly furnished and designed for children with its’ colourful wall art and floor cushions.
Outside, in the shared patio area you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee or an evening BBQ. The outbuilding in the enclosed patio area also has use as a utility room, with a washing machine and freezer guests are welcome to use.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
