Waterside Cottage
South Lochs
Isle of Lewis
Outer Hebrides
This waterside Cottage enjoys a superb setting alongside the picturesque Loch Erisort, on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.
Ideal for families or couples travelling together, the cottage offers extremely well-presented accommodation and whilst it is suitably remote it still offers easy access to a wealth of activities, making it the perfect location. Inside, there is a warm and welcoming sitting room with beautiful furniture positioned around a wonderful open fire and a feature window showcasing some incredible views of the nearby loch.
This is an especially appealing spot and is somewhere where you can chill out with friends and loved ones, get warm and cosy by the fire and take in the ever-changing panoramic views from the windows. If you’re feeling peckish then step into the stylish, fully fitted kitchen which has everything you could possibly need to rustle up some fantastic food for your holiday party.
Leading off from the kitchen is an elegant dining area with a rustic dining table, all set up ready for you to sit down, enjoy some communal dining time and make the most of spending quality holiday memories together. The bedrooms are wonderfully appointed with stylish furnishings adding a chic finishing touch to the rooms.
The master bedroom has French doors opening onto a patio area and a sumptuous en-suite shower room, making it the perfect place to wake up in the morning. The adjoining double bedroom is just as attractive a space to spend time in and once again has stunning views from the windows.
The cottage is as charming outside as it is on the outside with fenced gardens and a slate patio area, so take your pick of what views you want to take in, grab a drink (and maybe a jumper – this is Scotland after all!) and breathe in that intoxicating Hebridean air and relax; this is what holidays are made of. Getting out and about is a must when you’re staying at Dunraven with a whole host of activities on the doorstep.
Take a walk along the Hebridean Way, a 200 mile stretch of some of the most beautiful scenery you’ll find anywhere and a great way to immerse yourself in the islands’ culture while getting some fresh air. If you want to find out about the wealth of wildlife on the islands then pay a visit to North Harris Eagle Observatory, Bunavoneader Whaling Station and the Callanish Alpacas, all less than an hour’s drive from the cottage.
Tarbert is just a short distance away and Stornoway is also nearby and both are well worth a visit. A lochside retreat awaits with a visit to Dunraven. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert, or Ullapool to Stornoway.Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
