This lovely Beachside Holiday Cottage is situated in the charming village of Portpatrick, Dumfries and Galloway, known for its picturesque coastal scenery. Take leisurely walks along the rugged coastline, and don’t miss the Southern Upland Way, which passes through the village and surrounding cliffs.
The harbour is a hub of activity, with fishing boats, yachts, putting green and charming pubs and restaurants. If you’re into water sports, consider kayaking, paddleboarding or take a boat trip to explore the coastline, go sea fishing, or enjoy a wildlife-watching excursion to spot seals, dolphins, and seabirds. Dunskey Golf Club is a historic course half a mile away, that offers challenging holes and breathtaking views. Explore Mull of Galloway, the southernmost point of Scotland, and visit the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse (24 miles) for stunning panoramic views. There’s also a visitor centre and a café. Portpatrick offers a peaceful and natural escape for those looking to enjoy Scotland’s coastal beauty and outdoor activities.
Step inside, hang up your coats and follow the hall through to the delightful and welcoming lounge overlooking the harbour. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring the beautiful local area and watch a movie on the Smart TV. On chilly evenings, cosy up in front of the wood burner after a day spent exploring the beautiful surroundings. Moving through to the delightful kitchen/diner, you will find a dining area perfect for sharing a family meal. The modern, spacious kitchen is the perfect place to prepare delicious home-cooked meals – open the door to the garden on a sunny evening too. Completing the ground floor is a utility area with a WC, washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading upstairs you find two light and bright bedrooms, one double and one twin (which can be made into super-king on request). There is a small snug setting area overlooking the harbour and a family shower room with WC.
The courtyard garden to the rear of the property is enclosed and has an outside dining area with a BBQ, which is perfect for enjoying meals together alfresco. Out the front is a bench overlooking the harbour.
