Nestled in a wonderful location adjacent to Dunninald Castle, you can enjoy unlimited access to Dunninald Castle Gardens, a walled garden and woodland walks, or play a game of tennis. The property is also walking distance of Boddin Point and the splendid sands of Lunan Bay (2.5 miles). Visit the ruins of the ancient Red Castle, enjoy surfing or even hunt for agates and gemstones. Travel a little further afield and visit St Cyrus and an array of wonderful nature reserves and various bird sanctuaries. Also nearby are the coastal towns of Montrose, Arbroath and Carnoustie, famed for its championship golf course. Within touring distance are the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen, with their excellent leisure and shopping facilities. Making this an excellent base to explore the delights of the Angus Coastal Trail.
Step inside this charming single storey stone-built cottage with cosy underfloor heating throughout, and into the light and bright lounge – the perfect place to relax after a day out exploring the beautiful local area. Enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring wood burner and watch a great movie on the Smart TV with DVD player. Entering the hall, which has high vaulted ceilings, you’ll then find the stylish and bespoke well-equipped kitchen. It’s the ideal place to cook up a storm and is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is also a comfortable dining area to enjoy romantic meals together. Next is the comfortable double bedroom with TV and ample storage space. Located next door is the stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Completing the accommodation is the handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Venture outside to the fully enclosed rear garden with seating area, ideal for al fresco dining and lazy evenings star gazing. Guest are welcome to explore the castle’s estate through a lovely woodland walk to the beautiful mature walled garden with seating areas, the perfect spot to enjoy picnics. There is also a tennis court that guests are welcome to use. Ample off-road parking is available at the side of the cottage.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
