This cosy Eco-friendly, contemporary, purpose-built holiday cottage in the beautiful seaside village of Avoch on the scenic Black Isle, the perfect base to relax or explore the stunning Scottish Highlands and Islands.
Located on a quiet street in the old fisher’s part of the village, a peaceful setting for a relaxing break in the Highlands. A short walk from the Moray Firth shoreline, the area is acknowledged as one of the best places in Europe for spotting Bottlenose dolphins. Outdoor activities include golf, cycling, fishing, walking and climbing. Walk to the Medieval Ormonde Castle with views back to the village and over the bay. There are scenic drives all along the coast with pretty villages in between, and sandy beaches at Fortrose and Rosemarkie, with cafe and children’s play area. Visit the beautiful mystical Fairy Glen waterfalls. Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, is just a short drive away or get the bus from the village. Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and the historic castles of Cawdor and Urquhart are on the banks of Loch Ness. Enjoy a ferry trip from Cromarty to Nigg, running from May 1st – September 30th 2021
Stepping into this delightful two storey property, on the ground floor, you will find the lovely spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The stylish and well-equipped kitchen offers you plentiful storage with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, Tassimo coffee machine and microwave, and ample work space to prepare your meals. Enjoy your resulting meals together at the dining table provided, the dining area also has French doors leading out to the patio garden. Relax in the comfy lounge after a day out exploring the area and watch your favourite programme on the TV. The spacious family shower room with shower and WC is also located on the ground floor. When the day is done, retire via the wooden staircase to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, a double and a twin, set in the eves with sloping ceilings. There is also a separate WC on the first floor.
The French doors from the dining area, take you to the delightful patio area with garden furniture where you can enjoy al fresco dining. There is roadside parking to the front of the property, subject to availability, with extra parking by the shore wall, only a short walk.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
