Located in the charming crofting village of Culkein, just 1 mile from Drumbeg and 12 miles to the picturesque town of Lochinver. Ideal location for anyone seeking peaceful and artistic inspiration when painting or writing. There are numerous spectacular beaches along this wonderful coastline, making a perfect seaside holiday base, as well as something of a birdwatcher’s paradise, with the famous puffin colony and bird sanctuary on Handa Island, not for away. For hill walkers, Munro baggers and climbers, you couldn’t be better placed for exploring Quinag, Suilven, Canisp, Ben More Assynt, Benn Stack, Arkle and Foinaven. Boundless opportunities for fly fishing, fishing permits are available locally.
The property is accessed approx. 70 metres down a hill from the parking area. Immediately on approach to the cottage you will be blown away with the spectacular sea and island views. Step inside to the porch area where you can leave your outdoor clothing. From the hallway leads to the comfortable lounge with stunning views where you can relax after a day out exploring in front of the cosy multi fuel stove to watch TV or a DVD. Leading from the lounge is the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. Just off the kitchen via the rear hallway is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading back to the front hallway there is a spacious dining room with table and seating to enjoy your meals overlooking the spectacular bay. When the day is done, head up the stairs to the bedrooms, one tastefully decorated double with sea views and one twin zip-and-link (that can be made into a super-king-size on request). Both bedrooms have a TV and a USB charging point.
Stepping back outside to the enclosed garden with front and rear garden seating areas. Ample parking area 70 metres up from the property.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
